The Institute of Administration and Commerce of Nigeria (IACN) has opened its doors to qualified Organizations and Individuals for direct membership. It comes in two categories:

  1. Corporates
  2. Individuals.

Corporate Membership is available to organizations who have contributed immensely to the development of the economy and with sound Administrative and Commercial structures. Such organizations must have a minimum staff strength of 250. It must also be very compliant with relevant legislation and adhere to best practices in standards.

Admission fees for Corporates are N500, 000.00 only.

Individual Membership

Individuals must hold a minimum of MSc or MBA in relevant Administrative or Commercial disciplines. Candidates with first degrees or HND with PGDM and a minimum of five years post-graduation work experience are also qualified to apply. They would, however, attend three months (Saturdays only) upgrade training program to qualify after a written test.

All individual candidates would attend a pre-induction workshop for two days to be properly groomed as responsible members of IACN.

Application fee: N5, 000.00.

Training course for three months is N50, 000.00.

Induction fee:

  1.  Associates N35,000.00
  2. Full Membership N50,000.00
  3. Fellows N75,000.00
  4. Honorary Fellows: N150,000.00 +

Induction would be held in June and December annually.


The Institute also honour Distinguished Individual Entrepreneurs who have impacted very positively on the economy. This could be in poverty alleviation, employment generation, investment in education and skills development, Astute Administrators and Commercial Success. These awards are honorary and awardees are automatic members of the board of fellows. They are also advisers to the board on Institute growth and brand management strategy.
